Our Head of User Experience, Tom Beavan, recently gave a talk at the Glove Factory Studios in Holt. In his presentation, ‘Digital Marketing: Beyond Telling Your Story’, Tom explored how a successful website doesn’t sit in isolation but should be part of a carefully targeted marketing strategy.
Covering subjects such as branding, website design, social media, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and content marketing; attendees gained insights to help develop an effective digital marketing approach for their business.
Tom explored key questions including:
- Why do I need a website?
- Is an off-the-shelf website right for my business?
- How do I improve traffic to my website?
The talk proved to be very popular, with tickets selling out. The event also gave Tom a great opportunity to practise his presentation skills.
“It was my New Year’s Resolution to push myself to do things I don’t do often, such as public speaking, ” he said. “Digital marketing is an area I feel passionately about and I thought, well if the people on The Apprentice can do it, then so can I.”
