Technical Project Delivery Manager

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a project once the design work has been completed and technical work starts. You won’t be writing code, but you will be responsible for assigning the right technical resource to the project and ensuring the work delivered is on spec.
We’ll need you to:
- Brief developers
- Manage remote teams
- Advise clients
- Be able to review HTML and CSS
- Write user journey
- Create wireframes
- Write technical briefs
- Have a good understanding of how APIs work
- Know how WordPress works
- Understand version control (for managing access to project code)

You will have a talent for finding solutions to technical and creative problems. Your practical nature will help you distill complex requirements into clear tasks. You will be an expert delegator, able to give clear instructions and manage the output from internal and external resources. You’ll have good language skills, able to write instructions, oversee and critique technical and creative output. Fiona, Boson’s Project Manager and Tom, our Head of User Experience, will be there to support you.

A bit of background…
You will have experience of managing website design and build projects. You may already be a Project Manager, or be looking to move into project management from a technical role. You’ll possess leadership and mentoring skills and be used to the practical application of project management principles and methodologies. We need someone with a strong grasp of the website production process, including design, technical development, post launch activities and SEO best practice. You’ll be fully aware of UX principles and be able to critique design work from a usability perspective. You’ll have an understanding of website databases, hosting platforms, domains and system architecture. You’ll have excellent knowledge of content management systems, especially WordPress.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading multiple website & digital projects, from start-to-finish
- Communicating directly with clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating tasks, team members and resources
- Ensuring that projects are on-time, within scope and on budget
- Organising time/budget estimates
- Shaping and improving our delivery processes
- Developing project plans and tracking progress
- Employing appropriate QA processes
Salary / Terms
£30K – £40K depending on experience. We anticipate a full-time role.
